Requirements & Eligibility
- Applicants will be on target to achieve a minimum of 2:2 honours degree level in a relevant discipline – Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, Control Systems, Integrated Engineering.
- Must be in your penultimate year of study unless enrolled in an integrated master’s program.
Key Responsibilities
- Working alongside an experienced Project Engineer, gaining first-hand experience of Lean Manufacturing and supporting efficiency improvement initiatives at the facility.
- Automation and robotic handling of product – implementation of new systems where appropriate and gather appropriate data to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Digitalisation and cloud-based systems for the facility.
- Working towards paperless facility/operations.
- Growth to improve capacity and improve factory and facility efficiencies.
- Work on project feasibility studies to build business cases for identified improvement opportunities.
- Interact and liaise with other departments internal and external to the business.
